The benefits of yoga include: increased flexibility, enhanced endurance and stamina, improved balance, and strengthening of mental focus. What that means to you is greater performance and less risk of injury on the field or court. More and more athletes are turning to yoga as a part of their training and a greater number of professional and collegiate teams are hiring yoga instructors on-staff. Everyone from Ray Lewis and Lebron James to Hope Solo and Evan Longoria recognize that yoga is an effective way to engage the mind and body in a way that no other training can accomplish.
I have experience working with Division I athletes and developing yoga programs to complement athletes’ outside training. I welcome the opportunity to work one-on-one with athletes and with teams to provide sport-specific yoga instruction.
